I was talkin today, and i was told 5 out of 8 JDM trans are the wrong ratio. and when ordering a JDM you have a 5/8 chance of getting the wrong one.

I am buying another JDM for my other car, and i want the big16g engine, i was told this transmission is NEVER compatable with a dsm rearend, and the seller REFUSED TO send me a compatable tranny in replacement...

anyidea?

Your the one that wanted to trade me an intake for it.

and it wasnt junk til you dicked with it ;) haha

Never touched the intake  . As far as the gear ratio the only thing to worry about is if you get an Evo tranny, but if you get a vr4 the first gear is taller then the T/E/L first gear, you stand a 15% chance of getting an Evo motor and tranny.

You dicked with the CAS, and put it in backwards ;) hahha

and the big16g do come with the Wrong tranny All the time.

Jeeze, Pax, it's not like there aren't dozens of them laying around everywhere. I've never seen a car that has such a wealth of used parts. Toss out a hook in the Classifieds here, and get one off a fellow Deviant Sneaky Mother.

Hey Paxin, who was the one that told you it was the intake that was causing your problems:thumb: oh yeah me. I told you I would trade you the intake for the whole motor, man get it right, and at least I tried everything else to show you that it was your JDM crapclone intake :thumbdown .

p.s. Go buy a big16g, and i don't have any black paint.

haha, well, the blue intake is Ugly, but well do it anyway. not like "im" gonna have to live with it.

if we swap that intake and it is the exact same, you will owe me a steak dinner at ryans

so is there a chance the tranny that came bolted to my jdm is going to not work??
it came with a transfer case as well.

The trannies on the big16g engines will not work.

Those at RRE agree.

they come from the galant RS. andhave a different Final drive ratio.
hit on aim and message itsstockofficer
he can go into detail

Only the Evo trannys will not work, the galant vr4 trannys will work and both motors can come with a b16g.

No, wrong.

An EVO wont even bolt in.

The galant RS comes with the big16g and yellow tops.
and has wrong final drive.

galant vr4 dont always work. 5/8

I have an evo3 in the car....

it needed a USDM front diff, a USDM final drive and a 2nd gen linkages to work in my 2G car....

everything else seems to work.

The EVO's will bolt in, but they're not too useful since they have a different final drive ratio.

LOL yea, my jdm tranny has ages, worn, got about 30000 miles on it, been sold 3 times and i am about to buy it back again, LOL.
