So I'm in the middle of installing my 16g when I discovered that the J pipe included in the install kit doesn't line up with the lower intercooler pipe thats on the car now. Keep in mind this is after market hard piping. What are ways that any of you who have installed 16g's fixed this dilemma? Is there something I can fabricate? Any suggestions help please. Thanks in advance.

There are 2 types of j pipes. Ones that turn to the passenger side and ones that go to the drivers side. Most FMIC users will need to use a driver facing pipe while SMIC users would require a passenger side pipe.

I would never expect the pipe to be a direct drop in due to the variances of applications and routing of the IC pipes. It should be expected that you will need to utilize a coupler to join the LICP and the J pipe. I needed to when I had my SMIC.

Pictures always say more than what someone can describe in words so if you can either become more descriptive or post a picture of the trouble area, it would be helpful if you haven't already figured out how to solve your issue.

I can't post pictures right now, I'll try and get some up later. So you're saying just buy some intercooler couplers and bend them so they can connect the two pipes?

I'll try and describe the problem in more detail. The j pipe bends down and cuts off at the same spot basically as the outlet on the t-25, but at almost a 90 degree angle. I need something to connect the two pieces while hopefully not restricting airflow, or causing a boost leak.

Just letting everyone know that I have the problem fixed, I found some radiator hose and that actually fit pretty well at least until I can order some real couplers. Thanks for help guys and happy holidays.

Might have helped if you let us know if it was a DIY kit or something like Punishment Racing FMIC. Just sayin

Depending on the orientation of the LICP you could also try rotating the pipe to see if you can't angle it closer or get it to line up.

Also depending on the OD of your piping a piece of stock IC soft hose could be used.
