Ive got two problems.

problem number one: car vibrates really bad over 2000 rpm. when i give it gas it wont build boost. I parked my car for a few hours and come out and it starts doing this. I pulled the valve cover and everything looked fine. i don't know where to go from there.


Problem number two: when i turn my lights on at night, my headlights come on but my dash lights do not. when i start the car all the lights(like the check engine) come on but not the speedo/rpm/hvac lights. they wont come on. any ideas?

boost leak test, and check for other possible vac leaks.

check for blown fuses, brittle wiring, etc. if none of that pans out, maybe your cluster took a dump?

#1 could also be fuel problems

For problem number 2, i know it sounds overly simple but did you check the bulbs behind the cluster for the gauges that are not working? real easy to pull the cluster if you have not done it before.

#2: Your dimmer may be shot. Try unplugging the dimmer. Now on the harness side, short the black-yellow wire to the black. If dash lights now go on full when taillights are turned on, your dimmer is shot. You can leave it this way if you'd rather not spend the $80 satan charges which is the only place you can get it (MR760224 it's a circuit board - not just a rheostat like 1g's have). Or you might try a junk yard if they still have any working ones.
