I appreciate all the help in advance. if i can get more knowledge on my dsmlink and some gerneral questions. im going to start donating here. :)

1st. does dsmlink stop fuel cut. and when would i normally see it?

2. when running WOT. around a 11.4 air/fuel.. should i be looking for lower timing? or higher? (i've got knock, need to clear it up, it starts around 4500 rpms.)

3. Whats the safest lean WOT air/fuel @11 psi? can i get close to a 12 without having to worry about anything? (my car feel's like im pulling an anchor.)

4. i have an automatic. what are these cams good for? as for as RPM's. is it worth getting 272's?

and my last question. the fuel sliders on dsmlink are to finely tune the fuel to match the maxoct table right? so you can change the oct tables, and tune by that?
-still a little unclear about that.

Thanks guys.

Yes it will. You would normally see it when the MAS reports airflow has hit 2.5 grams per rev.

If you have knock, drop timing a couple of degrees.

Every car's different, otherwise we could all use the same calibration. What fuel are you using?

Stock auto cams suck, 272's may be a little aggressive depending on the rest of your setup and your goals, but they'll make a lot more top end power.

I'll leave this question for someone who currently tunes with link.

alright cool

I'm running premium 91 octane here in good ol' Oregon..

-so as far as cams...what should i look into getting? because these cams seems to fail pretty bad when it comes to power in the top end. after 5k it takes Forever! to get to 7k rpms.

i appreciate the feedback delta.

You need to have goals before you can pick cams, as a quick swap you can pick up some other DSM OEM cams when someone else upgrades for pretty cheap.

I have auto cams and It doesn't take me forever to hit 7k..But upgrading the stock auto cams is a great idea if you want to make more power..But like stated before 272's would be a very streetable cam..If you don't want to go that big, you could always go 264..
Also you should be able to hit 15psi with out getting cut..

My goal is to run around 330hp.. I'm not panning on running a crazy track car since it is my DD. but i do want some humph behind my throttle.

I've swapped the turbo already to a 14B, and 5 speed exhaust manifold.

maybe my timing is just off then, that's why it takes so long to hit 7k. ill have to make a video of a 1-2 gear pull to show u what i mean. just gotta wait for my power transistor

Put the 14b and manifold in your profile..I also would suggest getting a 7cm turbine housing, and a manual o2 housing or 2g housing..The stock 13b o2 housing is really small..Shouldn't cost you you much over a hundred dollars for both..Ohh and look for a some 450 injecotrs and manual fpr, the 390cc stock injectors suck..I think I seen sum 450's in the classifieds for like 60 bux, and the fpr for 20..

I'm not sure if dsmlink has an option to tell your ecu its a 5spd, but if you can switch that.It would help you out on your launch..

Good choice, those should help out a bit..Not sure what the fuel pressure should be on those, but maybe keep the manual fpr in the back of your mind, just in case..
