I'm wondering what the symptoms of the ISC motor failing? Recently when i turn my car on it runs for a second and the rpms just drop and the car dies. When i'm on the highway and i'm shifting really slow the rpms get really low and the car will die while going down the highway. If its not the ISC motor any ideas on what it is?

do a search for iac or isc and you will find a crapload of threads on it.

and my car would idle fine in the driveway, but as soon as i backed out and drove down the street and stopped at the first stop it would try to idle at 200rpm's and sometimes die. i pulled the iac out and turned the key to "on" but didnt start it and looked to see if it moved, and it didnt it just clicked in the same spot. dead.

Well i tested my isc and its good, does anybody else have any ideas on what this could be?

Yeah I read in the Haynes manual that if it makes a clicking noise when you put the ign in the "ON" position then your IAC is still good...I dunno though I've been getting a weird idle lately. Might be my TPS, I took it out to test it and I got a reading when the TB was closed but once I opened it up it read nothing on the voltmeter. It might be on its' way out but I'm still learning so I don't know right now.

If the BISS isn't set correctly there isn't much a working ISC can do once it reaches the end of it's travel and closes the bypass passage.
