Guys, I'm getting a t25 for 30$ from a friend.
Does this turbo look okay?

Looks clean, no evidence of leaking turbine or compressor seals which tells me there's no shaft play.


The car it came from was tuned PERFECTLY....look at the white carbon on the inside of the turbine housing and on the turbine wheel!

I am curious why the previous owner blocked off the boost source on the compressor housing....this is the most reliable source for boost providing the most accurate and responsive wastegate action.

I have no idea why he did that, I know shit about turbos.
He said theres no play at all.

Neither. It just means either it was tuned perfectly, or someone used race gas on a stock turbo.

Ummm....if you're pushing a T25 to the point where you require race fuel, you're retarded.


I normally pay up to $50 for rebuildable T25 cores as long as there's no wheel damage, so you're getting a deal. The most I ever sold a rebuilt T25 for.....$305 plus shipping on eBay. Honda guys eat 'em up; they'll take a T25 over a 14B!
