Is this tune-up good enough? used 6-bolt

Well i'm swapping in a complete 6-bolt engine on my 95 GST, the engine is used, i plan to change the water pump, timing belt, tensioner, oil seals, remove balance shafts, head gaskets. IS that good enough to ensure the motor will work fine??

What should i look into when buying a used 6-bolt??

Since the engine will be out of the car, no other time would be better to do some preventitive maintenence. I would try to get a compression test done on the donor car if the engine is in and/or capable of it. Besides the components you mentioned I would also install a new oil pump.

Plugs are a gimme... As for wires, I reused mine. Now if they look like trash then what would you do in that case?

?? What is the benefit of having COP? Besides being expensive.

You get to pop your hood and tell your fellow dsmers that you got the pimp ignition. You don't have worry about buying wires. You get a more powerfull spark to the combustion chamber.

I've got COP in my stang. No one ever thinks that is pimp. Anyways, what about replacing your valve springs and retainers?
