is this the speed sensor?

Hey guys I have a ? about a sensor on our 1996 eclipse gs (420a) We just pulled the motor last night put new belts pullys and all of that good stuff on. Well we were going over the car one last time when I seen a sensor that was unpluged. Well after a little more looking around I found where it goes and its broken. I had my dads friend look at it and he said that its either the imput or output speed sensor. "with out it the car wont shift and the speedometer wouldnt work" (Ben) Well when we took it for the first test drive the speedometer doesnt work and it doesnt seem to sift at all. I just want to make sure that this sensor is the speed sensor if so I can have it here in a few days and get this car back on the streets! I am already $200 in the hole so give me some good news guys!

Looks like the output sensor.

I'm pretty sure the input sensor is attached with a small bolt, 10mm i think?

And im not seeing that, check the attached pic to verify the location.

sweet that looks right to me i just put my order in thank you so much for your help do you car if i ask another ? that has nothing to do with the speed sensor?
