is this path of upgrading alright or go a different route?

so iv done my basic research and came up with a plan to upgrade my 97 gst spyder. 1st im going to have all the maintenance done (all timing belt components, balance shaft eliminator, ngk 1step colder plugs and wires) so far so good?
Next i was planing to finish the exhaust with a megan racing downpipe running straight to the catback, a forced performance manifold, and a megan racing o2 housing at the same time i was going to put on a injen intake
after that i figured id replace the bov to a forge recirc kit
soon after i will be getting a 7" fmic, race radiator, 14" slim fan, oil and trany coolers (would this be too soon for these?)

after all this i figured id move to the fuel system and put in a walbro 190lph and possibly bigger injectors????? at this time should i look into better fuel rails?

and the last piece i was looking a putting in after all the other upgrades would be the evolll big 16g

does this all sound alright in the order posted above? if not opinions would be welcomed still a newb to this :D

You're in the ballpark. Unless you're going to make it a hardcore drag racer I wouldn't worry about the trans and oil coolers, at least this early on. Same with the fuel rail, our stock units can support a LOT of fuel flow. Also I wouldn't mess with a "race" radiator unless I had to replace the stock one anyways. Exhaust, intake, BOV are good ideas, the intake you can find much cheaper than Injen (it's just tubing after all). The slim fan is a good idea once you get an FMIC, but do your research before you buy, there are a lot of cheapos out there. With the E316G you will need the fuel pump and injectors to male the most of it, but keep in mind when you install bigger injectors you need a tuning solution to account for them. Welcome to the site, keep up your research and have fun with your DSM! :dsm:

wow thanks guys completely forgot to mention that at the same time as the fuel pump upgrade i was going to purchase a emclink v3,
also 1 more ? i was debating going with the evo pistons and rods could someone show me a link to some that would fit with no modding and if those are not a good idea could you give me some insight on better ones btw im not looking to make more than 350ish in the long run

if i did decide to upgrade the radiator what 1 should i go with? the car (unfortunately) is a automatic and i dont think the radiator i was looking at would fit EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts hence the part that says "This item is for Manual Transmission vehicles. For automatic applications, please purchase optional Mishimoto transmission cooler (P/N: MMTC-U)" so any other ideas?

and down the road i would like to add this EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts nos kit what needs to be done before the kit i dont want to be blowing up my engine

It's good to have a plan, but take it 1 step at a time. I would start off with DSMlink. Then boost, oil pressure and a wideband gauge. Then do exhaust; the stock o2 can just be ported and it will be more than okay at 16g power levels, same with stock exhaust manifold. I would personally just go with a 255 pump and rewire kit along with an AFPR. Since you will have DSMlink just go with the biggest injectors you can. FIC 1150's are my suggestion because its only like 40 bucks more than much smaller ones. Get a 1g BOV as that will hold 25psi without problem. Intake isn't really necessary either as that won't be a restriction at those power levels. Get an FMIC as well; take a look at the VRSF kit. Great price and great quality.

In regards to the motor itself you should be fine without a rebuild. Do a compression and leakdown test to make sure it's healthy. Assuming it is, put in some quality headstuds and if you want replace the headgasket. Stay away from MLS gaskets unless you plan on getting the head and block surfaced. An OEM composite will suffice.

As far as cooling goes, I wouldn't worry about slim fans or a radiator. If you get a radiator then you will also need to purchase an external tranny cooler which is why the aftermarket radiators say only for manual.

P.S. have you researched anything about nitrous or as you put it "nos"? Like I said, research as you have a long way to go. Take it from me that the last thing you want is to start ordering parts without having done all your homework.
