I have a recently bought '92 GSX ATX, this is my 1st time seeing it but it seems like the bov is NOT routed to the intake but rather to a device sitting on top of the transmission. I have searched the forums on what this is called and the purpose of this device. Last owner has no clue because the car remained stock in his possession.

Anybody can shed light on this and what it does?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry guys, I won't be able to take a pic until tomorrow, I'm on graveyard shift.

I wonder if that device is a check valve of some sort.

It actually looks like one of those oil filter sandwich adapter commonly used for aftermarket oil coolers.
