BOV Sounds Different

I have the greddy type-s and it seems when it goes off it sounds more like tires peeling out screatching inbetween gears. And not like the sound clips, what would cause this.

Is it a fluttering sound??...If so you possibly have some compressor surge

The Greddy Type-s is adjustable right? Try fiddling around with the adjustment screw.

hey i have an HKS SSQV and it does flutter, it sounds kinda cool, but how do i change it?

the really high pitch sound indicates that the diaphram inside is starting to take a dump. Another way to tell is when blow off there is some aftermath noise. My Type-S is doing that right now (2nd time this happened). The $.50 piece of rubber is gonna cost you $70-$80 from vendors. That is why i have the new RS sitting in my room waiting for the recirculation kit from ExtremePSI to get here.

This is why the HKS SSQV is a bad BOV it always flutters. DOnt know if there is a way to fix it. Back in the day i called RRE and they said stay away from the HKS because its just sucks

It doesn't flutter anymore I set it more towards soft and fluttring was gone. But it stil sounds like crap when it releases the air.
