Are there two different versions of the 1g BOV, I have seen ones with the top nipple right in line with the vent nipple and others with the top nipple offset from the vent nipple, is there a difference between the two besides the nipple placement?

Okay, but here is a weird problem. I have a 1g bov and another guy around here does too, his sounds more high pitched, my 1g sounds just like my 2g bov did. The only differnece between our setups is I have an injen intake and my bov has the mis-alined nipple and his is lined up.

Could be a torn diaphragm, or sticking valve, or restriction in the intake path. Also unless your car's are setup EXACTLY the same way it will sound different. And even then no 2 cars are alike. So just don't worry about it, if it works don't knock it.

I was going to round up another 1g bov and try that, it does work well, it seems to boost alot higher my boost gauge might be off as well though, it reads 20psi at wide open throttle. Also what would my car do if I had a boost or vacum leak? Thanks guys.

Unless you've had them before and can recognize them right away then boost leaks can be hard to diagnose without doing a test. I've had so many boost leaks that I can tell if I have one immediately. One sign is a loss of uummphh under acceleration and running rich. If you have a digital O2 guage they are easy to spot since your O2's will be very high.

My o2 is rich at WOT .93-.92 or so other wise it is normal, that is coming off of the Apexi turbo timer, and confirmed with an Autometer Air/Fuel. Maybe the 1g bov I got is just not working right, I have another one on the way so I will know soon I think. Tell you one thing though she pulls hard now that it holds boost, wow, night and day. Sounds stupid but I just want something that maybe sounds better then my old stock one, and the 1g I have now just isn't doing it.

Well I am good there then, just got back from a run and that looked good, one think I am going to try tomorrow while I wait for my new 1g bov, I think I might have kinked the hard plastic hose going to my boost gauge when I was installing it, and that might have cracked it alittle, I can hear a faint whistle now and again.

If the whistle is when your cruising then it's normal. The 1G bov leaks at about 13-15 vacuum. You can make it do it by manipulating the throttle when cruising.
