Hey guys i have a 1g tsi fwd, i have all the basic "free mods". These are my plans so listen up, Xs power fmic, 650cc injectors, maf-t, 255 walbro fuel pump, stage 3 keydriver chip, safc, and 3' turbo-back exhaust. My plan is street car with power, barely any track, my question is do i need anything else, or is this too much like do i really need the chip. Any help please thanks.:talon:

I have no liking for the translator or GM's MAF. Personally, I'd go with a 2G MAS (Keydiver can burn a chip that works with it), and you'll need an adj. fuel pressure regulator to go with that 255.

Do you plan on upgrading your turbo to a 16G?

I would say that is a good set up for a daily driver. The car will be fun to drive and not horribly slow either. I wolud go with the maf-t they much more flow and the also can tune the car.

If you're not planning on upgrading your turbo, then you could just go with a 190 fuel pump. That way you would not need a afpr.

I'd also suggest a ported 2g exhaust manifold if yours is (likely) cracked. Very cheap, and flows good enough.

with a 3" turbo back exhaust you will have some boost creep problems. I recomend if you are using the 14b port it out. Read some of the DIY write ups on how to do this. Cheep and easy however time consuming but you will be glad when it is done. Do this before you hook the exhaust up. For the computer system, MAF-T + SAFC + chip. That is a lot of computer. Maybe save the money and go with DSM link. That would be your one tuning tool instead of having three plus the DSM link has more tuning capibility then all of those.
