My car is a 420a 5-speed and it drives as if it were brand new.
The only thing that concerns me is what the hell this sound is.
I've heard it once on a video but not sure if its normal. The sound happens when you either, have the car in neutral or hold the clutch in and rev to 5k+ such as in downshifting to third on the highway.

What happens is when the car revs quickly to 5k or higher there is a extremely loud screech (or squeal) coming from either the transmission or the engine more like in between i guess. I don't know what it could be and like I said it happens whether stationary or holding the clutch. It's kind of like the engine and transmission separate for a quick moment and everything just free fly's, but like I said the car drives great its just for that quick moment it is like the car is screaming at me for pushing it so high. :banghead:

I'd love your guy's input. I have been searching the forums/google for months and can't find any related articles.

bearing could be a possibility its definetly not the belt unless the sound shoots to the tranny side befor you can hear it LOL it does sound like a slipping belt for sure but like i said the sound is coming from around the transmission not even close to the belts :\
