Is this knock sensor busted?

Ok guys, I did what was asked last week after my first log ever showed I was probably running too much boost, so I turned down the boost from 15psi to11psi and did a couple of runs. I'll attach the graph, but I'm getting less knock, but not getting rid of it totally. Under load I'm still pushing some high knock values and I'm wondering if this is something to do with the sensor OR if not, what the hell is causing this. I'm new to this side of the tuning and would gratefully appreciate some help. Do I need a new sensor or some other tuning to fix this.

I'm getting knock in the 20-30 values at high RPM under 11psi boost.

If you need me to post some of the values under the timeline let me know. I only captured the graph at idle before the run.

It's rare for a knock sensor to go bad but it does occur, be sure that you have a good O2 sensor. Your graph looks similiar to mine when I had the original lifters in the car. I replaced them with the 3G lifters and the knock disappeared. Your o2 reading don't look right at all, first, is the o2 new or bad, next did you replace the lifters yet and last, check your timing.

Ask anyone with a 1g, and I bet 80-90% have changed theirs at one point in time.

O2 sensor is, I presume, the original. The lifters, the same. As for the timing, It's bang on. I just checked it and gapped the plugs, last week.

I have read multiple threads on knock sensors and "phantom knock", but don't know if I should replace the sensor yet or if this knock is caused by something I've missed or have done with the mods' I've done.

Did the high knock values go away when they did??. I've seen pic's of the thing oozing what appears to be oil, but is the damping fluid from within. The last time I was under my car and looking at it, I seem to remember mine looking like it was covered in oil, but IS this the fix.

If the goo is oozing out of it, replace it now. Make sure it's tightened in it's hole as well, I've seen a few where the knock sensor is loose and the person had no idea why it was logging so much knock.

It's the first step in fixing the problem. Knock sensors are cheap and provide vital information for the ecu and user. I would buy a new knock sensor and make sure my base timing is set at 5 degrees. If that doesn't solve the problem I would move on to other things like a new fuel filter. Sometimes some seafoam and good cleaning of the intake track can help also. My $0.02

Timing is done. Seafoam, have my reservations about it. New knock sensor, definitely.
