Is this a talon or laser?

I think its a talon, you can see the 3 holes on each side of the hatch where the stock spoiler comes along the side of the car, where the stock laser one would have a hole in the middle too. But its hard to tell without the tails or being able to see the sideskirts.

It's a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Why? Because...

1. The front bumper does not have those long cut outs (where the fog lights go) going from the front to the side. So it's not a Laser.

2. Since it has exposed headlights that would make it a 92, 93 or 94 and those years for the Talon did not have a center trim molding piece that ran along the side of the car. So it's not a Talon.

+1 on the eclipse, my 93 has the same headlights but different bumper also the 93 - 94 lasers have a light bar that runs under the tailights which this one doesn not.

To answer the debate it is a talon..barely. As far as any laser or eclipse parts swapped on it i dont know.

Are you absolutely sure.. What year is it then?

If it's a Talon then it must be a 90 or 91 and had an exposed headlight conversion done to it.

Sweet, I won!

My mistake, apparently the 92, 93 and 94 DL Talons (1.8) had the center molding trim that ran across the center. The DL didn't have the same exact body design as the Base Model and TSi

So yeah I guess it's gotta be a Talon DL

I gotta go with 1gb talon because of the spoiler mount and the "bubble" (for lack of better word) tail lights that were different from the laser and eclipse. Hard to tell with everything being blacked out though.

So..here is my question. What is the whole point of this thread anyways? LOL Are we really gonna ever find out what kind of car it is off of one random pic?:aha:

ha, i was thinking the same thing. Kinda funny how long this went on...Im going to go snap a quick shot of a 2ga with no rear bumper, lights, or wing from the back and see how long that goes on for.

At least with the 2G game you have a 50/50 chance of being right ;) (being there is no Laser)

To everyone still tryin' to guess it, perhaps you should realize that OP gave the answer a few post ago

It's a Mitsubishi Eclipse.
ehhh..does your Ecl 92 NT have the same rear end bumper cover as this one?

More like a Talon ESI FWD (not a DL since it has the wiper spray nozzle on top of the back window and DL's were plain jane Talons )since it has the lower bumper cover style for the FWD line.

(must be a hot day all over America where all is bored to death by staying inside - why all the fuss over this one pict...getting to be a humorous thread...)

I still think it's a DL

Every picture of a 92-94 Eagle Talon base model or TSi shows no center molding trim, but every picture of a DL has the center molding trim

More evidence.. 1990-1994 Eagle Talon Photos - Consumer Guide Automotive Click through the slide show, 1st one is the base model, next one is a 1ga (ignore), one after that is the TSi, and the last one is the DL

So there :p
