Is this a good clutch for someone on a budget?

I can't comment on that one specifically, but I'm currently running an XTD clutch off ebay. 2000 miles or so and I'm happy with it. I haven't put it to any serious tests yet, but it's had a couple launches and it seems to be holding up well.
 
I don't have any personal experience with that particular one, but I've heard (second hand, but not internet heresay) of some of the puck clutches having the friction surfaces detaching from the clutch. I've also heard of pressure plate fingers breaking, etc.

I don't trust ebay stuff. Simple stuff like O2 housings, intakes, etc. Things with no moving or potentially stressed parts seem to be just fine. But I wouldn't trust ebay clutches.
 
I just bought the Gripforce F1 stage 3 6 puck clutch, 2600lb pressure plate, and 11.5lb flywheel and I LOVE with it. I put it in and broke it in with the correct procedures and then took it to the drag strip and flogged on it allday and have had no problems with it. But I spent like 400 on the whole ticket, but that was with the flywheel and the stage 3 clutch, so i guess it depends on how tight your budget really is.
 
i have a centerforce dual friction clutch and its really smooth for a performance clutch, like it doesnt have a lot of foot pressure and its really easy to drive after it was broken in, but the cons to that it doesnt feel that manly either, because of how the dual pressure plate activation is it absorbs any pressure so that it could be considered a performance clutch with stock feel, but sometimes i dont want stock feel when im racing, because stock feel to me feels like a clutch that doesnt bite that hard, even though it does, but justdoesnt feel as strong as id like it. But excellent with traffic though, however it sometimes shimmies if you dont let off with the right amount of gas, its still sensitive to a certain degree... My flywheel was resurfaced and lightened, but i always wanted to get a performance lightwt flywheel, whenever i change clutches ill do that, but i hear cons about them makingthe wheels spin more/???

Hey I just bought the same package from Gripforce. Did you get your flywheel "stepped"? Is it necessary since Gripforce says in their instructions that the flywheel must be surfaced flat?
 
I got a XTD "stage 3" clutch kit (clutch plate, pressure plate, and thrust bearing) and I didnt resurface my flywheel (didint really need it) and I love it so far! BUT...i only have about 30 miles on it.....
