I would say no. Maybe I overlooked it, but I didn't see anything about it being a genuine MHI turbo nor did I see it on the housing and I usually go by the rule "if it has to say turbocharger on it, then it is fake". I would suggest requesting more pictures. Some people say that the ebay turbo's work well, would I buy one? no. But that's what some people say. Not sure if you are asking if it is a real MHI or just a good turbo.

Legit as in how, is it a MHI evoIII, no its not. Should have searched a little on this one as this same questions gets asked weekley. The real MHI evoIII doesn't say evoIII on the name tag, this turbo doesn't have a step on the inlet like the evoIII does, thats not what the evoIII flapper looks like, the finished on the comp cover & the turbine housing isn't correct, that turbo doesn't have the paint assemble marks MHI puts on their turbos & the list goes on. If you want a real evoIII & don't know what you need to be looking for its best to go to a reputable vendor such as the ones listed on this site, to make sure you actually get what you want.

If you look on the plate from what I can see it says somthing to the effect of "Type: DSM EvoIII" So what that is saying is it may be designed after the EVOIII but it dosent have to be a "real" 16G. If you read further " It has a big 16G compressor wheel, Td05H turbine wheel" hence its an evoIII style turbo. Always with a component as vital as a turbo spend the money for a quality product.

Its a 16g but not made by mitsubishi. I would not reccomend it.

Look at this deal. You want a real 16g at the same price and 10 times better made by mitsubishi. Then get this. Its not the evo but its still rated at about the same air flow and HP.

No, those are not MHI turbos. i've done research on those before.. most of them come from CHINA or TAIWAN and if we do a groupbuy we can all get one for around 350 shipped, but ofcourse if you order in mass like those companies, we can get them for about 300 bux a pop shipped.

Had a friend buy one from ebay like that. It is not a MHI turbo it is one of those POS GT Concepts, made in China knock offs.
