I am going to have to let my dad drive my car about 60 miles and I do not want it making boost. He understands the concept of how the car works, and the load dependent boost, however I know for a fact that he will not be watching the vac/boost and will probably be making at least a couple psi the whole way without knowing it.
I know that I could just pull the cotter pin and the arm off the wastegate actuator but I'd rather not... when I swapped this turbo on, the cotter pin had galled in the whole and I had to drill it out, it was a huge pain in the ass to get it on. Is there any other way to make the car boostless???? Can I just crank down the mbc? Or maybe pull on of the vac. lines or something like that??
Any help is much appreciated, thanks!
