is there a way to turn boost way down?

My wife has to drive my car and she hates when it boosts and acts like a rocket ship. I've got a 14b rebuilt and ported. Is there a way to turn it down to stock-like boost around maybe 8 or 9 psi?

What boost controller are you running? You could always disconnect the turbo. Then it will run like a snail. Trust me I know. I had to drive mine that way for a few days when my turbo died.

You can disconnect the wastegate and it'll drive like a N/T.

Connecting a boost source directly to the wastegate will cause the wastegate to open "smoother" and at the stock spring rate ( 8-9 lbs ). This should solve a lot of her "I hate rocketship" feel.

You could do a High/Low boost selector... One could be for you (MBC), and the stock solenoid will limit boost for your wife to stock psi...

Or just teach her how to drive it. Its easy to stay out of the boost if you don't floor the gas every time you try to move it. Just teach her a little throttle control. It could be fun for both of you as long as you are both patient and relaxed about it. My wife actually has fun driving my car now.
