To test out a block or inspect it for sure working order before buying? I have a 20g turbo im trading for a 6 bolt motor with 1g rods and 2g pistons and all arp bolts, and BSE. He says it came right out of a running car, but I would HATE to see my turbo go for a complete block that dont run.

Also I have a 98 TSi AWD, and a complete redone Head, but my block is CW and is right now .40 bore and .20 crank. It cant be rebuildable again, so why not do 6 bolt swap now? Will it bolt into my car ok, or do I need modification or new parts that my 2g dont have to support this "mod"

Don't do it, you'll need a shit load of other parts...

Block Only Swap Kit

"So your bad ass 2G needs a heart transplant. Here is the list of what you need to do the 6 bolt block swap and retain your 2G head. Your 2G head will need machined out to fit the larger 6 bolt head studs. This is sold as a full kit, and we won't split the miscellaneous pieces up unless they're on our site else where already. Some of the items listed, need your 2G parts modified, and are not included in the kit.

All parts are BRAND NEW Mitsubishi parts

6 bolt water line (filter to water outlet)
6 bolt oil filter housing
6 bolt oil pan
6 bolt oil pick up
6 bolt rear main seal
6 bolt timing belt tension arm
6 bolt timing belt cover
6 bolt water pump (OEM Replacement, not Mitsu)
6 bolt flywheel (ACT)
6 bolt front cover (OEM Replacement, not Mitsu)
6 bolt timing tensioner
6 bolt trigger plate
7 bolt front motor mount (Mount not included *needs modified)
2g counter weight on the shifter (Weight not included *needs cut off)"

what IF I get all this in with the deal? Obviously needing to have Buddys machine my head to fit the ARP head bolts, and me fitting my 2g front motor mount

If you get all of it, then go for it. If you find a 1G head somewhere, you can test the block...

What kind of 20g turbo you have that your trading?

slowboy 20g i guess or the same, so i was told

OK Update. He is taking my 2g head and turbo and 2g intake manifold

He is giving me complete 6 bolt block with 1g rods and 2g pistons, arp studs, cometic headgasket, and all attached to block minus a water pump and flywheel.

Also he is giving me his 1g head and 1g intake manifold to save my issues of finding other ones else where. Also, he is giving me a metal intake gasket

Motor has 20,000 miles on it, before he decided to do another build of all forged internals.
