can you link me to those pipe kits?97GS-TSpyder said:dejon tool and david brode are cheaper nad hte same quality..
but as htey said, if your planning on increasing boost even with a stock turbo id go for a new one due to the leaking
So these are better than Greddy IC pipe kits and what exactly does this kit do for me?iowaboostin said:
He knows this.. he's asking whether a BOV upgrade is even needed if still on the stock T-25.greycar said:If you are running a turbo you will need a bov. A bov releives the built up boost pressure so you don't get compressor surge and crap your turbo out.
It replaces the piece of crap plastic UICP that comes stock on the 2g turbos. Neither the Greddy kit or the Brode kit are 'better' than one another (almost positive they're the same size hardpipe). If you throw a K&N filter on along with a new BOV and this D.Brode UICP, you'd be amazed how much of a difference it makes. Plus, with all three of those (should be less than $150 if you find a used 1g BOV) you'll def. hear your turbo a lot more, then you'll catch the mod bug and won't be able to stopeverglow said:So these are better than Greddy IC pipe kits and what exactly does this kit do for me?

I'm not hating, the thread title is "Is there a use for the BOV if you're not upgrading the turbo?", and it was answered in the first reply that the stock 2g BOV leaks and needs to be replaced anyhow. Sorry ya took it the wrong way..greycar said:Hey don't hate I just answer his question, he didn't state that use of a upgraded BOV. just being literal
i never said better...i just said they have a better price and are the same thingeverglow said:So these are better than Greddy IC pipe kits and what exactly does this kit do for me?

Just making sure here, LICP and UICP? So I am buying a UICP kit but it just comes with an LICP? that a typo or whats a LICP? what other things would I need to pick up cause I am ordering these parts than having them sent to another country to have done where my car is.iowaboostin said:The Brode kit is just the UICP I think.. the Greddy kit comes with the LICP and the elbow to the throttle body as well, but those parts can be picked up for dirt cheap almost anywhere. Go with the Brode.
