need an external wastegate setup and shops around my city want to charge me 100+ or more just to weld a flange to my stock manifold. so i figured i might as well just get a tubular manifold and have it look nice in the process. i tried search but way too many topics came up and got tired of lookin in the dark since most of them didnt have info i needed. any comments is appreciated, thnx.

ohhh and another question. will the turbonetics deltagate 2 fit on that tial flange? looks like it but not 100 percent sure.

hey guys this manifold slipped by my eyes since i didnt see the external wastegate flange on side.

plus its cast iron and its 200 dollars cheaper. im pretty sure ill be better off with the cast iron and not worry about it anymore since this manifold seems like more than enough for my 400+hp goal. what would you guys choose? :dsm:

:thumb: good choice. saves me 2 bills and its the better choice for me personally. is it as good as sbr says u think? either way im gettin this sucker tomorrow to have my car running. i went to some shop today and they wanted to charge me 160 dollars to weld the damn flange and then called another and they said an hour and a half of labor at 85 bux per hour. was like #### that i might as well get manifold with flange on it and not worrying about the stock manifold to crack.

I have their older design, ported. It flows very well, so I am sure this one will be more than good enough for you. :thumb:

i bought the SBR unported, and it matched up perfectly with a ported Evo16g. though id go ported if youre running a 50 trim or greater.

it makes a very noticeable difference. driving under the boost curve was very smooth, i could go all throughout the city and never touch -10. and when i did hit it, i was able to hit 15psi by 3100 and 20 by 3400. definately worth the money, its a great mod to offset a FMIC.

thnx alot you non sleeping dsmers. ohhh and sorry about repost heh, i kept on forgetting something to say. one sign i needed to go to sleep. ill order it in a few hours when they open. ill get it ported for my pte 60-1. let you guys know the results. thnx for replies.

I have one of their origional cast manifolds & think its great & they say the new design is supposed to be even better :thumb: . I didn't bother to port mine when I installed it since the collector opening already matched the 7cm ported evoIII turbo inlet and the runners/inlet ports were already much larger then the exhaust ports on my 2g head. I say go cast.

ill post about fitment and looks but cant really tell difference since putting on too many parts at once. sorry bout that. hey mat see your from san antonio, we should meet up sometime. been going to the ricer meet on fridays at best buy? ROFL jk maybe ill see you around some time. ill try to post pics so you can spot me if you do.

I have their tubular manifold. Definately noticed a descent increase in throttle response especially on the low end. But the best part was i picked it up with a tial 3bmm external all brand new for 450.

if i many interupt ;)
my new ported sbr cast manifold arrived today!!! i can't wait to go home and slap that baby on. ;)

will post pics :thumb:

that's awsome...damn I need to make more money...my dsm hasn't seen an upgrade in far too long :sosad: Just wondering about something though, I have one of buschur's exhuast mani heat shields...do you think it will fit over the sbr manifold (I'll be leaving it internally gated but I know it is already flanged)? or will I have to modify the heat shield?

i think itll fit since you wont have the external wastegate and the flange is really close to manifold.

sleeper you bastard. i need mine asap since my car isnt running till then and its gonna take a week minimum. but do post pics and about fitment. nice job on manifold choice, once i saw that one i was like damn its cheaper and better. cant beat 350(unless your 90blacktsiawd) lucky sob. :thumb: :dsm:

I had to fabricate an ew heat shield for the new sbr manifold. The one I had from JM fab wouldn't fit. I will try to get some dimensions for you guys when I get a chance. Oh yeah, the manifold is one of the best choices I made for my car. :thumb:

I just got my new Cast Mani from SBR a few days ago, looks really good, port work could've been done a little more efficiently but its fairly smooth. Looks good inside the engine bay though, I haven't been able to drive the car yet, I'm in the middle of a tranny install, I'll let you all know how it feels.

I'd want to know which SS composition it is(from the price I'm guessing 304) and a picture clearly showing how the wastegate is plumbed before purchasing it. In the end though I'd save up and purchase a Shearer or at least consider one of the other available brands (Shearer, VPE, Alien Auto, or AutoLab).

I bought their externally gated equal length mani and it looks sweet. It's heavy duty as hell.

What classifies it as "heavy duty as hell?"
