Is the Galant VR4 BOV the same as in 1G Eclipse?

Looking for a 1g BOV to replace my 2g BOV

Friend of mine has a Galant Vr4 and he thought that maybe the BOV in his car was the same as in 1G eclipses ..... ?

its not a pop off valve, its a blow off valve.
