Is the AC button supposed to be lit if you're trying to run the heater?

So here's my last post about how my heater doesn't work...

today I decided to just try my heater because i was really cold. The AC button was pushed in, and the air was tepid at best. I pushed it one more time (it turned green) and the air was pretty much the same, hot coming out of the vent but by the time it got to me it was cold. So I pushed the AC button again (light went off) and after a while the air seemed pretty warm.

Now I'm totally confused... Is the button only for COLD air? Thanks!

Yes the Ac button is only for cold air.

The light will be lit if the air is set on the defrost, but your AC button should not be pressed while trying to use the heat.Also next to the center vents in the dash, there is a scrolling switch that you can change from blue to black. if its scrolled to the blue section the air comes out not as warm.

A/C should be on when using defrost, A/C will condition the air, pullling out the moisture and clearing your windows faster.
