So my vehicle started to stutter , then went away now it wont stop stuttering. So I took out my injectors to test them and all of them read 3.0 ohms except the one near the fpr, which reads as if there is no connection whatsoever (like if you were to test a blown fuse).

Is it toast?

I actually put my finger on all of them and felt the pulses , except on that one injector , decided to pull it out and there is no reading on my multimeter. Also when the car was running I pulled the one spark plug on the same cylinder as the bad injector and it made no differance in the cars idle.

I dont see any point of checking it since my injector appears to be bad, plus i have no way of testing the signal.

Hopefully it isnt the signal that blew the injecter.

I found a set of 4 injectors plus fuel rail for 50$ from a junkyard. Good deal I think if they test oout good

It's a bad injector for sure.I had the exact same problem, and the same injector went out too.I just bought another set and kept my other good ones.

You know whats wierd........ After my car would cool off for a long time and I start it back up it would run great, tons of power till it warmed up then it started the stuttering crap again...

Whats wierd is when the injector was warm/hot it read as if it was a blown fuse, but now that I brought it into my place with the cool air conditioning it now has a reading of 2.7 ohms.....

ever hear of anything like this?

blackrosenova40: I may be able to get you a replacement OEM injector for cheap/free. Let me ask a friend and I'll get back to you.

That's exactly how mine failed. It would work until it got hot and then the winding would open up.

Im glad I figured it out quickly instead of checking 600 million other things before the injectors. :thumb:

It just sucks because I just did a basic rebuild , clutch, aluminum flywheel, water pump , balance shaft removal, everything with timing, arp head studs, reman head, all new seals ans gaskets, and then a fuel injector goes, LOL. I was just enjoying it!!!!!!!!!

By the way I got my head from http://www.headsonly.com/

370$ , inlcudes rebuilt head (had no studs in it whatsoever) 3 angle valve job. that price also includes shipping the head here and mine going back as a core. So far I highly recoomend them as I think the price and quality was great.

Oh it also didnt include the cam seals. It was completely read to be put on except for cam seals and all of the studs (no thermostat , intake, cas , or exhaust studs).
