I am about to take over a 98 eclipse spyder. It currenty has eibach pro kits and tokico blues with about 40k miles with this setup. Car currently has 108k miles on it. I want to change the shocks to tokico illuminas for a better ride but keep the old eibach springs, is this ok, or should i just pony up the extra money and get both new tokico spring and shock combo?

Will there be a noticeble difference if i stick with the old springs? Or should i just not be cheap? Thanks for any input!

ps. the car pictured is the one im taking over, just using his account,(lil bro)

I'd like to know the answer to this as well, as I am looking at buying this guys illumina-prokit setup. also how low or high does this combo ride? thanks in advance.

Only crappy springs "wear out". Shocks however are a part that will eventually fail.

Running new shocks on old springs is not a problem whatsoever. New springs on old shocks usually results in a crappy ride (if shocks are too weak/blown)
