springs/shocks

ok, i have decided to go with the koni yellows for their nice damper adjustment. I know you can change the ride height also on the shocks by setting the plate higher or lower where the spring sets on.. its not much of an adjustment.. but its a good feature i guess.

My question is, I want a nice drop.. I want it tucked very little, or at least 0 tuck and 0 wheel gap. I was thinking of maybe ground controls?

i want something comfortable for daily driving, yet have better handling then stock.. I can handle a few bumps with a stiffer suspension, but most of all, i want to make it stiff for the track.. will koni/ground control be good for me?

Buzz. While it is true that there is a second place where you can install the perch-ring on the rear shocks (and only the rear), this will raise the rear of the car by about 3/4" and is not meant to be used.

To drop a 2G to the point where the wheels are actually tucked in has a special name: slam. Your car will not handle better this way, even if you use good shocks, like Konis.

ps. within 12 hours, several people with slammed cars will post to say that their cars handle great and I have no idea of what I am talking. I leave it to you to do a search and read the refutations of such.

i don't want to slam my car.. i didn't like it in my other car.. it handled okay, but not that good..

i just want to get rid of the wheel gap, but not tuck..

i wasn't sure if i should go with TEIN SS or koni/ground controls though

both are roughly the same price..

then again, the flex has the pillow ball mounts

also, anybody have experience with the Progress competition coilovers?

Tein ss good, tein flex good, progress good..its up to you...if have the cash get the full coilovers set up and never by all means lower the car with the perch ring method....me personally suggest get a coilover set with pillowball uppermounts but thats just me..

i guess its either flex or progress competition coilovers, whichever is cheaper
