EVOscan Is it necessary to tune to 80% IDC max?

I have stumbled upon few places that says that 80% IDC is the max you should have at any given time. One of them is EvoScan IIRC.

But I have also seen that some members run IDCs in 90ies...

I'm about to do some tuning in tomorrow or day after tomorrow, and I will have to set my boost levels to a safe value.

I have 14b, Walbro 255+fpr, and the bottleneck - 450cc injectors.

I was planning to go towards 90%-95% IDC @7k RPMs, 3rd gear pull. But maybe I'm completely off the charts being a newbie...

I'm going to use EvoScan for tuning, and I have an MBC for boost adjustment.

80% IDC is safe, but you can go higher.

If you get close to 100% and you have like a boost spike, or a little more boost on a cold day, you may not have enough fuel to compensate.

I wouldnt recommed it. Injectors that stay open and almost no time closed have a greater chance of either burning out themselves or worse, burning up the iniector drivers contained within the ECU
