Is cleaning CAS with carb cleaner Ok

Sure? as long as your not soaking the damn thing in it. Brake cleaner doesn't leave the oily residue so I'd use that.

Just don't get any of the brake cleaner near the electrical connections, where the wires go into the sensor. Spray some cleaner on a rag then wipe it down, don't spray it directly on the CAS.

brake cleaner wont hurt anything on the outside of the CAS, i use brake cleaner for everything, just make sure its dry before you plug the cas connector back in.

If I can sandblast/powdercoat a CAS/cover, then brake clean will be fine. Especially when you use brake clean is used to prep the parts for coating.

A black top CAS might be different though as it has a plastic cover. Brake clean would still be fine, but other cleaning solvents that are harsh might cause damage.

I agree, The CAS didnt make it 19 years on my car because its sensitive to abrasives and liquids.
