Has anybody attempted to make a data-logger program for the iphone/ipod touch? Or is it even possible?

Rev will, to a degree. It communicates wirelessly via OBD-2. As you can imagine, some special hardware is required.
Rev
Thats what I'm thinking as well. I dont know anything modding a psp, but I am certain that there are more than a few individuals on this site capable of making it work
Has anyone downloaded the rev lite demo off of the apps yet? I would do it myself, but I am out of town until friday. And I cant just download straight to my touch.
They have a Dyno software for it, they say its pretty close to a real dyno, look up Dynolicious.
but has no graphs.
Yeah Dynolicious is 12.99 and there is another one called InMotion PocketDyno+ for 9.99. Dynolicious has cool graphs and whatnot, but its 13.00 bucks....thats like half a tank of gas in my Honda.
Also, Rev light looks pretty sweet, especially if you autocross. It can use the GPS and show where on the track your g's were and how high they were.....sweet.
Rev Light
Dynoliciousbut really pricey
InMotion PocketDyno+but has no graphs.
Thanks for doing that. I'm definately gonna check out rev. Does it say anything about the hardware?

We expect to be shipping OBD-II WiFi hardware in November.
We will be announcing the price, shipping date and ordering options in
the next couple of weeks.
I got an email from Rev today saying that they would be shipping hardware in November. It's a shame it will only be OBDII
It should work on your 95...All manufacturers were supposed to switch over to ODBII in their 1995 models, you lucky guy you.
I thought about working on something like it.... but Apples's iPhone Dev kit is only available for Mac's and I do not own one. Nor do I have any desire to own one. So I gave up on development aspirations. I 'might' consider googles android cell phone [t-mobile carrier]... but I really dislike google as a company.
Until Apple is more open with the developer licensing, App store and Dev Kit I would not expect to see much out of it. Plus someone would have to create the apple plug to Serial adapter to hook it up to DSMLink.

Does this mean that you can't use the developer software like Xcode that you get with a purchase of a apple computer to write something up for the iphone?
