Iphone as a data logger?

Has anybody attempted to make a data-logger program for the iphone/ipod touch? Or is it even possible?

I'm having troubles getting EVOSCAN to work on my 98. I'm using the Tactrix OP 2.0 cable. About 9 months ago I had it working because I think I was using 2.6. Version 2.7 freezes up after "Initialization is complete" appears. I tried to download 2.6 but it keeps saying Invalid serial ? I used the "forgot serial" function but keep getting the same invalid serial so I guess I'll submit a ticket and hope I can get 2.6 working. Anybody having troubles with the newer versions ?

All 2G DSMs are OBD II.

Rev finally released their stuff, but no updates have been made in the past year so I'm not going to invest into it now. Sucks because they had something going for them.

I got this response back from EvoScan regarding their iPod/iPad/iPhone release. I asked them when it would be coming out, the cost, and if they needed beta testers:

"sweet, I'll add you to the beta list, for first release. not sure yet. now I'm building 3 versions in parallel, iphone/ipad/itouch, Windows Phone 7 and Android. wont be too much longer, I have some more testing to do and a couple of enhancements."

Bonus for the Windows 7 and Android users out there.

Thats awesome I just searched a few weeks ago for an android datalogger and came up empty. Sounds like its only going to be for obd2 vehicles according to there site.
