Hi Everyone, just became a member last night. Iam excited to become a part of this community and hope to learn more about my car. I just brought a 1997 Eclipde GST Spyder Convertible with roughly 60k miles on it :thumb: I love to dirve my new car, I love the sound of the turbo, it drive me crazy. Some minor mod that have been done to the car when I brought it: Greddy BOV, Greddy Intercooler piping, Tanabe Cat BAck Exhaust System and K&N Air Filter. Iam assuming those mod give the car about 15-20HP more?? Correct me if iam wrong.

Last night I gotten the Greddy Profec A Boost Controller installed in the car. Really excited with that little mod. I did the test run where the "Fuzzy Logic" learn about the engine boost curve ( that was fun). Since I don't really know what boost level I could raise it to that is safe, Iam setting it at 12PSI at the moment. The manual was very helpful with programming the Profec but one thing that Iam still confused on is the selctor in the back of the unit. It has 4 selector with On/Off setting (it goes like this) 1: Actuator Type (or) Wastegate Type 2: Offset -100 ~ +100% (or) -50 ~ +50% 3: When over boosting occured (or) normal 4: When boosting fall off (or) normal Can someone please tell me what the setting does? Also what PSI would you recommend that I could set at with the current mod on my car? What's the typical HP gain from 1 PSI. Iam ready for your knowlegde :thumb:

The next day I was driving around on the freeway, wasn't really punching it, when the "Check Engine" light came on....wtf? Would this be caused by the boost controller? I read the manual and all it says about the check engine light is to see the dealer. Can someone help me out please.

The car drive like it fine. Iam not hearing any rattle or wierd noise from the engine. I talk to a guy here and he said try unplugging the battery for 10 minute. So I did that and the engine light goes off for 20 min then it come back on

well you have to go and scan your car, at almost any good auto repair shop, I had an vacum hose, that wasn't connected...

Just a tip, for those of you that need engine light codes pulled.

If your car is a 2G, autozone will pull the code for you for free. Any other place around here charges a hefty "diagnostic" fee (sometimes like 80 bucks!) even if you just want the code pulled.

cool thatnks i didnt know that... well my mechanic doesnt charge me, but i went to a place when i was a newbe :D and they charged me $40

OK I went to my friend Honda auto shop and had the "check engine" light get check out. They used this device that check to see if wat wrong with the car. It pull up a "P1400" code. They didn't know much about Eclipse and didn't have the book to look it up. Can someone tell me what this mean???

Did some research on the net and found this " P1400 Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction " Someone please tell me wat this mean
