intermittent clutch chatter/grind???

So, I was driving about a week ago, and I noticed that my car was making kind of a ticking sound when I pressed the clutch pedal. I drove it for a little while, then the sound just kinda went away. Then a day later I noticed when I pressed the pedal again it would make 3-4 slight pops when I pressed the clutch in and then would stop. not just today, I was pulling up to a friends house and realized there was a god awful sound coming from the clutch/flywheel area. It almost sounded kinda like a chattering/ grinding/ rocks in a can sound, but then would stop almost instantly when I let out of the clutch. and I can press the clutch and it still chatters and shuts up after about a few seconds.... what the hell could be causing this, I think maybe throwout bearing, but I recently replaced that in October as well as the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, clutch fork, bearing retainer, and pivot fulcrum. and the fact that it's sort of intermittent throws me off too, it does not seem to be effecting driving at all, its just loud and obnoxious. I really dont want to pull that tranny off again, this is my commuter and I just simply do not have the time to do this yet again. i have heard of some people driving with a bad TOB for a long time with no problems other than noise... I am wondering if it is ok to drive it like this?

By the way, the throw out bearing is the OEM plastic lined one.

any thoughts?????
