Ok i have been posting here and asking a bunch of questions regarding tob, clutch and related questions. Finally today i got a new clutch and flywheel and tob installed. The terrible rattle i had went away luckily as i could not stand that anymore. But now it seems as if i have clutch chatter. Whenever i down shift there is a shake and a kinda vibration feeling in the clutch. It does not seem to happen when i upshift. The clutch pedal feels very nice and all as well. Just really shakes the car in a very quick pulsating way, like 3 jolts kinda. IS this what clutch chatter is? What could have caused that if it is? I just got it installed by broadway performance in passaic nj. I thought they were known to be a reputable shop. I see that they list if motor mounts are bad that could cause this? IS that very likely? Or just like a very slim chance of effecting that?

Anyone who has experience or knowledge about this please let me know. I finally got the clutch done after like 2 months waiting for the money to buy the act 2100 and act streetlight flywheel and install it and now seems to be another problem.
I also see that it sometimes go's away after the break in period. Is that correct? Got it done today, and i didn't notice chatter at first but like 15 minutes after driving i did mostly on down revving.

Is the only way to fix it to remove the tranny again and adjust the clutch? Can anything be adjusted in another way? Is there a way to see what would be causing it?

it could still be the break in process...but my friend has a gst and he put the clutch in and started it up and it was chattering....so i got to looking at it and noticed the transmission wasnt pulled all the way up to the block..it looked as if it wasnt tightend down...so we just retighted them and fixed the problem...so look and see if theres a gap between the block and transmission it may be your problem:thumb:

I had the same setup but with a 2600. I had chatter for about a week and then after she broke in around 250 miles the chatter went away
