Thats all custom, and you gotta respect the amount of man hours put into that. Let us know how it looks after its painted.

Now I can still get to my spare :thumb:

^^ WOW that is amazing looking..

I like the wrx ones better than the eclipse.. but still

spare tires! BAH thats what AAA is for!

Cost wise in materials, and trying to learn how to do it, how much do you think you spent on that stuff?

Im looking for a new hobbie, and I think getting a vacuume bag set up for C.F. would be a fun hobby. Also it would be rewarding. Fiber glass would be a cheaper way to get some experience molding and stuff I would think.

brcewane- I have seen your eclipse a quite a few times.. and im gunna be real honest with you about it.. the idea was pulled of real good, but the thing i don't like about it is that it is extreamly wavy.. I think that if you whould have sanded a little more, that whould have came out way better. now on the other hand your wrx's box looks really good, you can tell that your getting alot better at fiberglassing.

Dallas J- i learned how to fiberglass from reading articles on the internet.. there are a ton of articles that will show you some great tips and walkthrough's.. now as far as materials on my project, If i subtracted all the equipment, and labor, i whould probably be around 4,000 -5,000.. all toghther the interior has cost me a little over 9,000

i'd say all in all it was 3-4 hours but i can't really say because i pulled out the seats and carpet to dye and run wires of all sorts over a 3 day period.

But all i did was take the original carpet out of the trunk and traced it out on a board then used a jig saw to cut it out. I found out the center and all of my lines i wanted to cut out then i used a jig saw to cut those out. I used felt for the fabric from the local fabric store. I used 3m adhesive spray to glue the fabric on the board.

Cost of everything

$1.50 for wood (cull lumber bin at Home Depot)
$5 for the fabric
$12 for adhesive spray.

Other wise i cut out some wood that fit inside the spare tire well (took out the spare) and screwed my amp down. and made a cutout for the xbox to sit in. There is also a cap and a invertor under the board. I'll get pics some with what it looks like underneath.

Yeah the eclipse box was my first attempt.. after that I had better ideas of what worked and what didn't. Also found some much better body filler and fine filler at an autobody shop.. Sands and smooths much better.

Fiberglass is a really inexpensive way to try things out. In total probably each of those boxes cost me $50-$70. Just get some MDF from Home Depot, a Jigsaw some Polyester felt (soaks in lots of Fiberglass resin), Some Marine Fiberglass Resin found at most hardware stores and then some sandable body filler.

It is a lot easier than most people think, you just have to have some imagination, trial and error and patience while sanding :thumb:

how do you access the xbox (i.e. change discs)

damn that looks nice bro... does your amp get enough air underthere to stay cool? I was trying to figure out something for my infinity kappa perfect 10 and my mtx amp but dont know what i want to do yet.

hey brcewane, how do you build the box so your amp sits slightly recessed like that (looking at the first pic)? I've been trying to get mine to do that but for lack of time i havent been able to figure it out. Would you mind shootin me a PM about how you did that? thanks man.

That full custom inteior on that eclipse on the first page... wow. Nice work. When do you anticipate that will be finished?

don't have a sub hooked up to it yet but this thing has some monster fans on it so i don't think it will be any problem. I'm only going to run one 12 on it two so i'll be fine.

where do u get a hub like that for a momo steering wheel? will anyone fit?
