Intercoolers for a 1g

Im looking to find an intercooler for a 1g dsm, something that I wont have to cut anything, or relocate anything, and maintain the crashbeam.

Intercooler is going to need to be able to handle a 16g with at least 20lbs-25lbs

I was thinking about going with this

and welding flanges on it so I can bolt it under the crash beam.

Already looked at em. I havent seen one true bolt on fmic kit for a dsm. The punishment racing kit is the closest Ive seen

the type of intercooler you want depends on the type of horsepower your going to have, if you have a intercooler to withstand an amount it could drop ## psi but if your going to run near stock with simple bolt ons thats a different thing aswell.

Check out VR-Speed Factory. I think they are still on back order, but there are great reviews on it. I should get my kit from them 1rst week of April. You can always get a ETS core and make custom piping, all depends on you goals for the car.

If that's your case then consider doing a thick side mount. I'm pretty damn positive there is no front mounted core that will fit without removing or cutting anything.

If I were you, I would go with a huge-o thick sidemount and a meth kit to cool it a little more and allow you to run more timing. You won't have to fab up anything and you would have an awesome sleeper look too.

i have a cx racing intercooler kit direct fitment. check their site out. but it's costy. inlet and outlet has to go through front frame of car. it's a short route. but i like it.
