i was just wondering if u can get intercoolers in black... i want a front mount but i dont want it to be noticible

does any company make them already black?????/ ive been lookin and cant find anything....
got any links

i've got an idea go get a supra sidemount. supra tuners have used their intercoolers with hard pipe conversion on their twin turbo cars to generate over 500 whp thats what i did and i love it all you have to do is mount it and get some custom pipe mine didn't cost me 150 w/ the intercooler to get it put in and pipe ran =/

You can probably just spray it with a light coat of barbeque grille spray paint. As long as you don't go overboard and clog up the fins, you should be okay.

This is very correct. A light coat of paint on the external surfaces of the IC will be perfectly fine. It is a little more economical than anodizing, though you could always go that route too.

This is mine I have yet to mount. I painted it with VERY light coats of high temp ceramic paint.

Cost me 5.30 for the paint and about 60 mins of time waiting for it to dry inbetween coats.

how many coats of paint did u put on???? that exactly how i want mine to look....looks great

I beleive a total of 6-7 only because you have to catch all the angles for it to get the fins correctlly.

mine is spraypainted

you can barely see it behind the grill normally, it looks like a radiator at first glance. it shows up a bit better in this pic due to the angle and long exposure night shot
