when installing my new turbo i noticed that the shoort route ic piping on the drivers side is too short. when using the silicone elbow from the turbo to the pipe i would way about 3.5" too short, can i just cut the pipe and add a coupler and be done as a good permanent solution?? i think it might work.
the intercooler is a short route cx racing and its the drivers side pipe by the o2 dump.

1g talon by the way and thanks

I had this same issue when I installed my front mount. I bought some metal piping from home depot to fill the gap and it was by far the worst idea ever I kept blowing the lower I/C pipe off almost daily running at 18 lbs but my suggestion is make sure the new section has a lip on it so the couplers can properly stay on during full boost.
