So I just got my 92 gsx and the intercooler piping is not in prime shape and it is routed not like ive seen before. So I searched on here for how and where, but i just confused myself on what to do. I have a Hks intercooler in really good shape and would still like to use it. So my question is can I purchase piping that will work for my setup? The intercooler does not dump off straight back like it does for the short route kit. It points straight off to the sides. I looked at vr-speed,extreme psi, extremeintercoolers, cxracing and a few more. Help...

Here are the pictures of the piping that in currently on the car. Can I do something different? I know new connectors.

looks like the same routing the intercooler i picked up uses. i have all the bends and plan on just getting a 2.5 chebay set to replace all the steel pipe the guy b4 me used. its actually a pretty decent routing, just not as good as a straight-back-dump style.

with some 90, 45, and 180* bends and a couple good silicone connnectors you should be able to clean up the mess. past that, if you want cleaner, you could get someone to weld the pipe together in some areas. this is my plan.

good luck with it.

I was hoping someone else would jump in on this one, because I can't exactly tell what your piping route is. I seen other threads that some people had to cut a couple holes for the piping, maybe the guy before you didn't want to do it that way? I've heard good things about the eBay aluminum piping for the most part and it's much cheaper too.

Looks like I will get new piping to re-route a cleaner look for now. New intercooler and short route piping coming soon.
