The piping from my turbo to the intercooler/ intercooler to engine, likes to slip off (the rubber elbow pipes holding it together) when it gets a good amount of boost, and then i have to put it back on.. it just has regular hose clamps on, the ones you screw to tighten, does anyone know of any clamps that might hold better?

Some pipes come with a bit of a flair at the end to aid this from happening.I know my SBR pipes have that bump. You may also look into welding a bead around the end to create a bump so it's harder to slip off. I have also heard of people useing hairspray on the pipe to keep it in place a little better.

You can also have a small bead of weld placed around the pipe to help.

i had that same problem with my previous dsm and not even with the tbold ckamps were holding together. so, i appled some jb weld around the edge of the pipe to make a lip and make it harder for the rubber to just slide off.

tht finally fixed it. but be careful if ## running too much boost and ## engine is not tuned for it

This.

Hair spray is for this

Wait on the T-bolts until you've tried the beads.

If you can weld a beaded pipe onto a non beaded pipe, you can easily add a weld bead to a non-beaded pipe ROFL

When I'm in a hurry, I'll just bend back 4 or 6 spots on the end of the pipe slightly with a pair of vice grips. Not nice looking, but it works.

I don't think I'd trust the JB weld on the hot side. Cold side is fine though.

Once you get above 20 PSI t-bolts clamps don't help shit unless you have beaded ends on those pipes. I was blowin t-bolt clamps off right and left before I did the beads. Nothing is worse than the sound of an intecooler pipe blowing off at 22psi...It scares the shit out of YOU and everyone around you LOL.

Everyone says the t-bolts.. I myself have had probs with them leaking but like everyone, they like what they like.. I heard with the t-bolts to spray soapy water around the outside of the coupler before tightening i guess it helps them tighten and not pinch so they dont leak.. I dont know that was my prob they all leaked but never heard of the soap trick till after i bought the old school clamps..

If you go t-bolts do the hairspray trick it sounds funny but it does work... and use the soap..

Not all T-bolts are created equal. They range from really good to complete crap, even more so than most things you can buy for our cars.

Go with good high-quality T-bolts, round (not bent all to hell) bead-rolled IC pipes, and quality 5-ply couplers... and never look back.
