Intercooler piping is 2.5" what size couplers?

my friend said if my piping is 2.5" to use a 2.75" coupler is this correct or will the 2.5" pipe go into a 2.5" coupler? and the t-bolt clamps should be the same size as the coupler or bigger?

Nah you use 2.5 couplers for 2.5 piping,same goes for the clamps

The hard piping goes measured on the outside, so diameter of the pipes is 2.5" on the outer ends. Meanwhile the couplers measured 2.5" is ID, so that prtty much answers your question: Both in 2.5"/I mean couplers and t-bolt clamps....

how about for j-pipe to intercooler piping i would need a 2-2.5" reducer since my intercooler pipe is 2.5" and im guessing the j-pipe is 2"?

you will def need a reducer if going from a 2.5 to 2 inch pipe. half an inch may not seem like much to tighten down and get to work, but this will be pressurized.

is the j-pipe that connects to the big 16g a 2" entrance?

depends which one you have. I had a J-pipe on my evo III 16g that went 2-2.5.
