Well, im upgrading my upper IC piping, and there are 2 I am looking at. One is 2.25 inch, and the other is 2.5 inch. Would the 2.5 inch be ok, or is there a such thing as "too big" for UICP? I know this is probably a dumb question, but I just wanted to hear some input before I purchase either one. Thanks in advance. :hellyeah::hellyeah::hellyeah::thumb:

Just go 2.5 inch man. thats what most FMICs use. It's not big at all. Why not instead of upgrading your intercooler pipes; just get a complete FMIC kit??? cus just upgrading the pipes turns out to be a waste of money if you plan on getting a FMIC kit in the future.

Thats what I was leaning towards, so thats good to hear! :) Its around the same price too!

Mods are Apexi 3 Inch Exhaust and downpipe, Injen Intake, FMIC and lower ICP, Greddy Type RS so far.

EDIT to dsmtun3r, I already have a FMIC kit, with all the LICP, I still have the crappy plastic UICP

Your still on stock turbo? I hope your ic isnt huge, or you will be hurting your flow from t25 not being able to push enough air. Unless you plan on turbo upgrade soon then go for it. But ya 2.5 is the way to go.

Well then in that case get a short route FMIC instead and get rid of whatever long route IC you might have ;)

Yes, I'm still on the stock turbo, i would like to upgrade to a 16g in the future, but I want to make sure I have every part needed to do it, before I decide to just start throwing stuff on my car LOL :) :hellyeah:

That's cool, just a bit of advice. Don't push the t25 to hard or it won't last to long. They don't handle high boost very well for to long. Keep it around 16 psi and you should be ok. If you try and run like 18 psi daily that thing will fail rather quick.

Ya that's good bro, because we all know once you start boosting more you won't wanna stop. Lol ya bro take your time do the research and the Dsm will last you along time. I've owned mine for over 12 years now and has just over 228,000 miles and still stock block. Mod wisely and things can work great for ya. But if things should go wrong thank God we have dsmtuners.

Your on a stock turbo and stock everything else. A FMIC is not needed. Just get hard piping for your SMIC.

Pm's should be your bestfriend, and done way before thinking of mods. I have never pulled the head yet I keep up on all my Pm's. Doesn't drip a spot of oil or burn it for that matter. It's my dd and weekend warrior and has been since I got it. Planning to pull motor the end of this race season for a full rebuild and some upgrades. Newbies should only be allowed search for a few months before they can post. They might learn a thing or two. Ive noticed in the last few months so many repeat questions and most from the newbies. Learn to search guys don't be slackers LOL.
