Hey. I just got the vr-speed fmic and it came with a 1g bov flange. The thing is, I do not have a 1g bov. I have a turbo xs which i got for like 30$. The whole for the bov is really small. Do i have to get another piping with another type of flange welded up on it? or is there a adapter i can buy. Sorry if this is such a noob question. First time i ever got a fmic. THanks for the help. :D

I'm sure you can find an adapter otherwise just get a flange welded on.

Hope you aren't venting the BOV without speed density or a GM MAF+ECMLink v3 or Translator.

just get the flange cut off and get the appropriate flange welded on. my intercooler piping came with greddy bov flange, and i had a HKS bov. so took it to my buddy and he welded the HKS flange on for me then polished it up and it came out great. check out my pics, i have couple on my site. good luck bro!

Venting is the opposite of recirculating. Stock our cars need to recirculate the BOV back into the intake because the air is metered before the BOV. When it's vented into the atmosphere, metered air is leaving the intake thus changing your AFR. You can only vent properly if you run a speed density setup or have a GM MAF in blowthrough mode. Do some searching on the site and you'll get more information on the subject.

oh.. so uhmm.. i put my turbo xs on but i have the hose over the top nipple and i covered up the the hole on the intake that use to connect on the stock bov. is that venting?...

Yep.

You should look into running a 1g BOV. They can be modified to hold a ton of boost.
