my buddy knows how to port and polish intakes but he needs to know what the best way to do it is. as in how big to make it. also has anyone done this and what are there results
 
Tell him to use a dremel. I did this myself on my N/T Intake MF. You have to shave downt he runner humps in each port. They are lump, just try making the hump have sides paralell to the port walls, almost like a symmetrical wave. You almost need the tip of your runners to be razor sharp, or knfe edged. Be careful though, other wise you will port too much and end up grnding out/down the threads needed for your injectors. :thumb:
 
Pretty much nothing. I've seen detailed dsmlink datalogs from porting and extrude honing intake manifolds and their is no significant increase in airflow.
 
I'm not too sure as far as the 4G63's go, but with the 420a non-turbo, opening up those runners is one of the best andmost HP increasing mods for our cars. Either way, it's better then it has been before, and more air can only benefit you in this case..
