Intake Manifold smoking???

Ok, i was driving home tonight and getting after it a bit and when i got home, i figured i would pop the hood. When i did, i noticed some light smoking coming from under my Intake Manifold somewhere, i couldn't really tell where though. I have had an oil burning problem, could that be where its coming from? Or what else could it be, thanks

it could be oil, did you smell anything also

could be valvecover gasket is bad and leaking oil onto intake...also you say you burn oil did you spill some when you added last???

I had a problem like this, my first question, is it white smoke and does it smell real bad?

I don't believe it's from a spill. And yes, it was a white smoke and did have a odd smell to it

Also, i was letting it run today and as i was looking at the intake Manifold to try and find out where the white smoke was coming from (it dont smoke bad, but at times you can tell it's there) I noticed some oil behind the valve cover, near where the fuel injectors would be, kind of like a puddle of of it? any idea where it could be leaking from?

cheapest way to find out is replace the valve cover, has it ever been replaced. These things are known for leaking especially if you over torque them and crush the rubber gasket....its hard to do wrong bu it has been done. YOu can go to advance or whever and pick one up for under 30$ and takes 15min to do the switch
It mihgt not leak that much at low rpm but when you "get on it" you are creating alot more heat and pressure and thats what could have triggered the more noticble smoking

I agree just try the small stuff first ....i have had many valvecover gaskets leak when the get old
