I've got you ALL beat!! :D

$187.oo every six months including everything but collision. ($374 a year!!)

Even $250 comprehensive deductable. :thumb:

1991 Talon Tsi Awd

25 years old, 5 speeding tickets (all over 5 years ago), 2 insurance claims, one for hail damage, one for hitting a doggy R.I.P.

I'd check American Family Insurance. They are GREAT to me :p

Before this turns into a typical "I pay this, you pay that" thread you may want to look around.

What it all boils down to is the area you live in, family count to car count on the policy and a slew of other things. What one person pays isn't compairable to what you pay. It's apples to oranges.

Shop around and work with them to get yourself a low rate by changing coverage amounts, deductables and what not.

I'm with Geico, Im 19, with 2 points (I dunno if they know about them tho) and I was paying $900 / 6 months. Thats doing 300 mi / week of driving - FULL coverage. Back a while ago, I was paying 1200 every 6 mo because I was 17 and doing 600 mi a week. Who knows why it was so cheap, but im sure its going to go up after my accident

Jesus. I would walk before I paid that.

hey hi im about to purchase a 1998 red GSX eclipse FINALLY after seaching for 2 years for the right price and clean model. the only weary i have is how it would affect my insurance rates. i just got my license like 2 moths ago and now im about to drive a sports car in a red color.......i wanted grey but heck you cant always have things your way. can you guys tell me insurance qoutes of rthis kind of situation ifi i live in california. i tried "allstate", "progressive" and "statefarm" but for some stupid reason they wont give me a quote............. im just asking those who have faced this kind of problem.

o yah i recently check out where i could have gotten free vin chcks at this forum importedperformance but the guy's subscription expired. do any of you guy know where i could or other people could run free vin checks?

Thanks ROFL

running free vin checks is ilegal and not promoted on this fourm.. i know im not an admin/mod but i felt the need to say this before more of these topics begin to spawn out of nowhere

Learn to write in proper English kid. I know I have poor spelling and grammer but I make a good effort to get across what I have to say as best I can.

I gather you want an insurance qoute. Many offer free qoutes online. Let me tell you, if you just got your insurance you are going to get a horrific shock at insurnace costs on these beasts.

I'm 21 years old and I have a clean driving record. I currently own a 2000 Golf full coverage, it runs me around 105 a month. A 1995 Eagle Talon TSI FWD with 1000 deductible and full liability would be 197 a month in addition to the Golf.. total $302 a month. I was shocked. I asked and inquired why. The reason is not jus that the Talon is "fast" but they have a high probability of crash rates (thanks to stupid kids :notgood: ) and a very high % of personal injury in their accidents WTF End result is payouts for the cars are much more likely and much higher.

I'm no expect but seeing your 17 or whatever, have no driving record and want a 210hp turbo awd sports car and you don't have access to a great insurance carrier like I do, your going to pay out around 300+ a month for full coverage. A friend in Cali who is 23 recently called on a RSX 2002 (a much safer car) and was qouted $317 with Progesive (he has one speeding ticket).

I live in Indiana as well, a fairly low insurance cost state. :boring:

Why are free vin checks illegal? I don't understand. I hate Carfax, bunch of elitist pigs, apparently 5 a week is their interpitation of "unlimited access for 30days". You also can only get that once a year. WTF WTF :notgood:

Yeah, gosh, if you invent something and put it up for sale, why can't we all use it for free and not pay you anything for the service?

At least you save us from having to ask if you're stupid. :thumb:

That quote for the FWD turbo is right on. I'm 18 and no tickets and that's exactly what I have to pay, thank god my parents pay for it, don't say im spoiled I'm a cheap kid so i don't spend much money anywhere else.
my roomate has a RSX type s 2002 and he pays out the butt! He got 6 speeding tickets the first too weeks he was down in florida and with all the other tickets his insurance is over $11,000 (no thats not a typo). This kid is rich though they still pay for it.

I have multiple speeding tickets, and an OWI on my record and i pay $156 a month for full coverage. Not too bad i guess. I use American Family insurance.

i just got a qoute on a 95 talon tsi awd and for full she qouted me around 400 for 6 months. no speeding tickets, nothing on my record and im 18.

i wont be getting that talon though b.c the guy sold it out from under me. now it should be a 93 awd tsi

You were quoted only $400 for 6 months?! I must say thats pretty impressive, considering I'm under my mom's policy I still pay $139 (w/ Multiple Car Discount, and perfect record) and thats not even full coverage. So you either got a REALLY REALLY great rate, or the lady is BS'ing you. Just one man's opinion :).

yah idk. im under my parents and their record is perfect. my record is perfect. i was shocked on the qoute and so was my dad. really made me want the car even more then boom it was gone.

That don't sound right.

wow 400 for 6 months that is pretty amazing but i know even with good grades that only account for a 5-10% discount. if thats your quote Listerman id love to check out you insurance company :thumb: . but how much does color really affect your quotes, obviously red is the most expensive......... Thanks you azkikr10 really apprciate it. the cheapest i have found was 600 for six months shared with parents and a used car and it not full coverage. about 900 for six months account for full coverage. :notgood: Thanks for your guys comments

im 18 with a 97 ecilpse gst. farmer qoute me 1400 for 6 months, liability. progressive and state farm qoute around the same. the cheapest i found was mercury, which was around 800 for 6 months liability. oh yea, i got a point on my record for an accident that was not even my fault that is why mine is a little high.

wow i dont feel so bad about my insurance now after reading you guys

house, 2001 civic, 2003 explorer, 1994 kawasaki zx9, 1968 mustang, and my eclipse (of course us lowly NT people do get the better rates) they just dont know about mr hahn

and i only pay 280 a month
