20 yrs old w/clean record. $140/month=$1680/yr for liability. And that's on with my parents. Connecticut=Hartford=insurance capital of the world=sucks. If you dont have insurance in CT your registration gets pulled.

$500 a month WITH A GOOD STUDENT DISCOUNT!!

Got a ticket last year for going 126mph on 95 to VA beach. That killed it.

isnt the conversion like 2.5 or something like that?? OUCH!!!!!

I paid 149 canadian a month liability, which is approx 130$ a month.

but I turn 21 in less than 2 weeks, NOW I PRAY! even if it only took off 10 bucks a month, it'd be one of my best birthday presents!

Hello everyone! Sorry about the screen name I put on here I wasn't thinking that I actually wanted the GSX.

Anyways, I'm going to be buying my first car. I've decided to go with the GSX. I'm 16 years old. I'm going to go with reliability insurance.

So my question is, does anyone here have an idea as to how much I'm going to be paying? Thank you.

Don't flame me please. If this can't be answered just mention that, thank you.

dude im in the same boat as you. i was quoted $180 for liability on a stick 96 MAXIMA...i kno its not an eclipse, but it mite help. im also lookin for a first gen dsm awd.
best bet will be just to call an insurance company and get a quote

are you going to be on your own policy? If that is the case liability will be pretty high priced. I would try and get on a parents' policy to reduce the price signifcantly. You are going to be paying a pretty penny anyway tho. But it's worth it!!!! :dsm: :thumb:

We can't answer that question for you. Insurance premiums are based off of age, commute, residence (house/apt), credit score, gender, grades in school, parents history (if you still live with them), driving history of all people in your residence, etc. Go to an agent and get a quote.

Are you kidding me? Of course I'm going to be on my parents policy. I thought you can't be on your own policy until you are 18? Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I'm not flaming you I'm just saying. :D

well sometimes there are extenuating circumstances. IE: dont live with your parents anymore. Just have them put the car in their name, and insure one of THEM as the primary driver. save soooo much cash that way!

Well, if they are the primary driver, and I get pulled over, what would happen?

no not exactly.

i could get a 89 or so Honda civic HB with reliability and only be like what 250 to 300 every six months or so...because my parents have the every six months or so. Any way peace out!

I was 17 when I bought my GS-T. I was paying 2800 a year. Not too bad considering this car is crashed a lot by our age group and being young with a turbo sports coupe. This is with full coverage as well. So it all depends now on whether your parents have decent driving records as well. Their records will have an affect on how much you're going to pay.

okay then i don't think it should be too bad.... does it matter if it's fwd or awd? if it does which one would be cheaper?

Ok, first of all, it's not "whos name" the coverage is under, it's whether the car is insured.

16 w/turbo, I hope you have good job, good grades, and don't travel that much, cuz money will be tight.

just to let you know, I'm 21 and my insurance is $600 a month for full coverage under my father's name

It is a BMW 330ci

For my Hyundai, I pay about $550 a month for full coverage, but thats b/c I also opted for the added insurance to cover my modifications.

right now im with progressive... which is about $90 a month or $490/6.

i went to state farm this week to get a quote.. $53 a week ! 300/6 months..

my parents had state farm to. and they said as soon as you get a claim it skyrockets... but then ill just go back to progressive.

and when your 21 your prices will drop. and a clean record helps alot to.

btw those prices are for liability only on my own policy and im 19.
