Installing Turbo Upgrade on a 97 RS

First, before anything is said, let me telll you, I don't know about engine PSI boost, and I don't know anything about turbo chargers.
My question is, do any of you know where I can learn more about turbo chargers and critical things I need to know? I really want my car to be fast, but I don't want to jump in to major upgrades like this until I'm sure I can handle it.
Also, If any of you guys know of any places around Chandler, AZ that specialize in installing upgrades for DSMs.
