Installing new filter on 1g

I got a 91 talon in november and right now I am trying to remove the air filter the that was on there, it is very dirty and cannot figure out how to remove it. I tried a lot of things, but i still cant figure it out. Please help. Thanks. Luke

Usually you have to get the whole canister out to change the filter. They are pretty wedged in there. There should be 3 bolts that mount the canister to the car. Get those out then unhook the electrical connection on the canister and the rubber tube that goes down to the turbo (it's turbo right?) Then its a matter of pullling and yanking. Watch out for the boost control solenoid which is usually mounted on top of the canister. While you have the canister out do this:
